Dr. Lauren Loberg brings an extensive background in elite sports that is both academic and experiential. Her current initiatives include: Athlete Development, Leadership, Performance, and Transition.
Dr. Lauren Loberg’s general philosophy focuses on the well-being of athletes on and off the field. She believes it is important to remember that athletes are not special people, but people with special talents. Therefore, it is imperative that an athlete is provided with appropriate support to find success throughout his or her life.
Dr. Loberg’s experiences as a UCLA student-athlete, coach, researcher, mental health counselor, and sports psychology consultant have contributed to the development of her philosophy and its implementation.
She has worked for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association and the National Football League developing programs to address the total wellness of each athlete. She provided sport psychology consulting, mental health counseling, career and education planning, and personal development training that assisted the athletes in building toward transition to life after elite sports competition.
